A takeaway driver was serenaded by a mass singalong of Enrique Iglesias' Hero as he brought £100 worth of Greggs direct to the Bongo's Bingo stage in Newcastle.
For the first time in its five year history of coming to the city, the massive bingo and rave phenomenon took over the Utilita Arena for two XL specials on Friday and Saturday night as organisers took things up a few notches for the huge Disco themed parties. After things got underway 24 hours earlier, an estimated crowd of around 2,000 flocked to the arena on Saturday.
With Bongo's master of ceremonies Mickey Pickles promising 'Bongo's Bingo on steroids,' hopes were high that the XL nights would be next level entertainment and, they fired on all cylinders with some epic prizes like ABBA cardboard cut outs, a light up raft, karaoke machine and a top cash prize of £2,000.

There were also plenty of surprises in store for ticket holders, with Diana Ross and ABBA tribute acts and the appearance of the 'Deliveroo driver,' who entered the back of the arena to a rapturous reception, before he walked through the crowd and onto the stage to join Mickey and the Bongo's dancers.
After taking the bag of Greggs goodies off him, Mickey was greeted with cheers from the audience when he revealed there were steak bakes, cheese pasties, sausage and bean melts and sausage rolls up for grabs for whoever won that game of bingo, before some of the treats were thrown into the crowd.
The driver was then serenaded to the sounds of Enrique's 2002 number 1, before he made an exit to get on with his night.
