Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) hardly broke any sweat to enter the IPL 2024 final when they cruised past Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Qualifier 1 on Tuesday at Ahmedabad. To thank the crowd in his style, the winning team's co-owner and Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, performed his signature pose during a lap of gratitude at the Narendra Modi Stadium, which left his children, Suhana and AbRam, looking at each other amusingly.
KKR, who topped the points table in the league stage, defeated SRH by eight wickets as 'Player of the Match' Mitchell Starc set up Kolkata's win by limiting the Sunrisers to 159 with his spell of 3 for 34. The two-times former champions chased down the target in just 13.4 overs, thanks to unbeaten half-centuries by skipper Shreyas Iyer (58* off 24 balls) and Venkatesh Iyer (51* off 28).
