After receiving his fourth championship ring and seeing the Golden State Warriors 2022 championship banner hoisted into the rafters at San Francisco’s Chase Center, it didn’t take long for Steph Curry to get work against the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2022-23 regular-season opener.

The reigning NBA Finals Most Valuable Player looked in midseason form with a smooth fadeaway early in the first quarter. After a quick crossover from Curry, the Warriors guard drove to the basket with 7:30 remaining in the first frame. However, Lonnie Walker IV was able to swat the ball away from Curry.
