KOLKATA: Calcutta High Court on Thursday asked CBI to keep a “hawk eye” on the room containing SSC data, telling the agency to padlock it and post two CRPF personnel as guards by 7pm. The HC sought a short compliance report by 2pm on Friday and said SSC could only use the centre with its permission.
Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay modified Wednesday’s late-night order to allow the SSC chairperson, his adviser, secretary, assistant secretary and a stenographer to step into Acharya Bhawan in Salt Lake. The court clarified CRPF would keep guarding the office, which would continue to remain sealed for others.
