While the Boston Celtics might not be doing so great right now, their stashed Israeli floor general Yam Madar has been busy honing his craft overseas in Europe with Partizan Belgrade of the ABA, where he has been playing fewer minutes as he works his way into a higher level of competition.
Averaging 7.1 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.9 assists per game while shooting a sizzling 51.4% from the field and 48% from beyond the arc, he’s even had some especially flashy plays with NBA-level talents. One such play is a recent alley-oop to former Golden State Warriors big man and current teammate Alain Smailagic in a 93 – 90 loss to Serbia’s Košarkaški Klub Mega Basket on Jan. 20.
