Scottish superstar Lewis Capaldi surprised his number one fan with a special birthday message.
The chart-topper, who recently claimed his fifth UK number one single, sent out a special video to 15-year-old Erin Brown from Blantyre.
In the video, the Wish You The Best star told the Lanarkshire teenager: “I wanted to do this video to wish you a very happy birthday. I hear you’re a fan of my music so thank you very much for that and hopefully I’ll see you soon.
“I’m sure we can work out something further down the line. Happy birthday, hope you have a lovely day and see you soon.”
Erin, who was born with cerebral palsy, was overjoyed after seeing the video.
And proud mum Lisa Devine couldn’t have been more proud after starting a social media campaign to make her daughter’s dream become a reality.
Lisa said: “Erin didn’t really take much of an interest in music I started playing Lewis Capaldi and since then she can’t stop listening to him.
“She calls him Lewis Ma-pal-the-day!
“She just loves him and her speech has came on really well since she’s started listening to Lewis because she’s been singing along to his songs.
“Erin doesn’t like loud noises so we wouldn’t been able to go to a concert but when she puts on Lewis' songs or videos she gets lost in her own world.
“We saw the video on Lewis’ Twitter last night and since then we’ve been the talk of the steamie! I’ve spoken to everyone at her school as well (Rutherglen High) and all the staff are made up for her.
“I’m so pleased for her and I think it says a lot for Lewis and how down to earth he is.
“I can’t think of many superstars who would take the time to do that and make a wee girl’s dream come true.”
The West Lothian singer recently made headlines as he stripped off into wrestling gear as he celebrates his fifth UK number one.
Lewis’ latest achievement puts him in good standing as he equals the likes of the Black Eyed Peas, David Bowie, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars, and The Police with number one singles.
