NEW DELHI: In a heartwarming moment, legendary Sachin Tendulkar on Thursday gifted golf icon Rory McIlroy his autographed India jersey and cricket stump.
Sachin and Rory, the two greats came together during DP World Tour Championship at Jumeirah Golf Estates in Dubai.
It was before his round on Day 1 of the Championship, Rory met Sachin. While Rory shared the DP World Tour Championship flag, Sachin reciprocated with a signed jersey and a stump.
On Wednesday, Sachin watched the marquee India vs New Zealand first World Cup semi-final in Mumbai.
As Virat Kohli surpassed the legend and his idol at the Wankhede Stadium, notching up a 50th ODI century in ODIs, Sachin lauded the modern batting great for his phenomenal achievement.
