Roger Federer, the 20-time Grand Slam champion, received a heartfelt welcome from the crowd at the Arthur Ashe Stadium on Tuesday night during the US Open quarterfinal match between Aryna Sabalenka and Zheng Qinwen.

The Swiss legend, who announced his retirement in 2022 and played his last official match at Wimbledon the previous year, smiled and waved as he was shown on the videoboards in the arena.
