The Los Angeles Rams couldn’t have started Thursday night’s game much better. Not only did they force a punt on the Saints’ opening drive, but they took the ball 95 yards in 14 plays and scored a touchdown on their first possession to take a 7-0 lead.
The drive took nearly 8 minutes off the clock, and it was capped off by a touchdown from Matthew Stafford to Puka Nacua – on fourth down from the 2-yard line, no less.
Nacua had two catches for 19 yards on the drive, including a 17-yarder on third down to move the chains. His touchdown was just a great read by Stafford, putting the ball in a perfect spot for his receiver.
Matthew Stafford connects with @AsapPuka and we're on the board first!
