A family dog who tumbled over a cliffside at Glenariff Forest park, was brought to safety after a three-hour rescue operation by the Fire Service.
The incident happened on Monday afternoon, June 3, when little Piper was enjoying an off-lead romp in the Co Antrim park.
But suddenly the Cocker Spaniel vanished and her owner Lauren from Co Down, could hear her whimpering but could not see her dog. In a distraught phone, she turned to Lost and Found Pets North Down to get help to raise the alarm.

And soon the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Mountain Rescue were at the scene and launched a rescue operation that last three hours and ended in Piper being safely hoisted back to her owner.
A spokesperson for the Lost and Found ND said: "At 1:51pm on June 3, we received a very distressed call from Comber dog mum, Lauren.
"Lauren reported that she was out of the area today in Glenariff Forest Park, and that her precious furbabe Piper had fallen from a cliff edge. Piper could be heard crying but mum Lauren was unable to see her.
"Thanks to the help of Fire Service and Mountain Rescue, Piper was rescued after a three hour recovery mission, and hoisted back up into Lauren's arms. Miraculously, Piper sustained no evident injuries in her fall but will be checked by a vet tomorrow morning to be doubly sure. There was not a dry eye in the house here."
