Manchester City ended their poor run of form with a 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest and you can watch the highlights below.
Cityzens End Miserable Run With Emphatic Win Over Forest
The hosts needed to get off to a quick start after failing to win in their last seven consecutive matches across all competitions and that’s exactly what Pep Guardiola’s side did.
After just eight minutes City took the lead through Bernardo Silva, who got the slightest of touches to convert from Kevin De Bruyne’s initial effort.
The Belgian had not started a Premier League match since September and marked his return with an assist – but that was only the beginning.
As the Premier League icon would score a goal of his own in the 31st minute to double City’s lead, burying the ball into the top left corner.
Forest had chances of their own and the game could have been level at half-time with Morgan Gibbs-White and Chris Wood coming close for the visitors.
There was some more drama just before the break as Jeremy Doku appeared to be tripped in the box but no penalty was given and City went into the second half with a lead to protect.
Doku was involved in the last major moment of the first 45 and contributed to the first moment of the second as the tricky winger extended City’s lead to three.
De Bruyne came close to getting his second of the game in the 64th minute, as the Belgian’s effort was well-saved by Matz Sels.
Both sides struggled to create anything of note from that point onwards and the match ended 3-0 to Manchester City.
