Today was Baltimore Ravens Media Day, but it didn’t involve reporters or journalists. Monday was the day for producing a lot of in-house “media” (videos, photos, promotional images, etc.) and not for heavy interaction with “the media.”
And this version of a “Media Day” has something many people wouldn’t expect—stunt doubles!

Yes, in the video above, you can see the reigning MVP, Lamar Jackson, meet and greet his stunt double, who sports a similar hairstyle and is close to relatively the same size.
However, one of the brilliant replies on X hilariously points out that he kind of resembles Lionel Richie more than Lamar Jackson. You may wonder why NFL players would need stunt doubles in the first place, but our internet research didn’t yield the correct answer.
We did, however, find a Facebook video in which a guy interviews the stunt double of Buffalo Bills star quarterback Josh Allen. From this interview, we learned that the position of NFL star player stunt double exists primarily for promotional appearances and other commercial activity.
Having a stunt double is also a bona fide milestone for “having arrived,” Jackson has certainly done that. We are increasingly seeing him get singular name status in headlines, referenced as just “Lamar.”
You know you’re getting huge when they refer to you by just one name.
