Watch Kurt Warner break down film of Stetson Bennett, showing his strengths and weaknesses

The Los Angeles Rams found their backup quarterback in the draft, selecting Stetson Bennett out of Georgia in the fourth round. Bennett was a polarizing prospect leading up to the draft, being an undersized quarterback with mild character concerns but also a winning pedigree.

The Rams didn’t have any problem taking him 128th overall, hoping to have uncovered a future starter in Round 4 – something that doesn’t often happen at the quarterback position. At the very least, he can be a long-time backup in Los Angeles, proving some insurance in case Matthew Stafford gets hurt. And in a best-case scenario, he becomes Stafford’s replacement after the veteran retires from the NFL.

Kurt Warner doesn’t necessarily see why so many were down on Bennett leading up to the draft. Bennett’s advanced age (25) doesn’t bother Warner in the least bit, and he sees a quarterback who’s capable of making all the throws despite being 5-foot-11 and lacking top-tier arm strength.

Warner broke down Bennett’s game in a fantastic two-part series on his YouTube channel, explaining what makes the former Bulldog a promising prospect. His breakdown was before the draft, too, so it doesn’t have any sort of Rams bias.

Check out both videos below and learn a bit more about the Rams’ new quarterback.
