The New England Patriots are in the midst of a defensive battle with the Pittsburgh Steelers, and cornerback Jalen Mills did his part early on, securing an interception in the first quarter.
Mills was the beneficiary of an excellent tip drill by linebacker Mack Wilson. Wilson’s tip allowed Mills to come over and make the play for the interception.
This was Mills’ first interception of the season, and it allowed the Patriots to have good starting field position on offense. Unfortunately, the offense was not able to do anything with the field position.
This was also a milestone interception for Mills considering it is his first takeaway as a member of the Patriots.

With the Patriots struggling to score on offense, we may see quite a bit from the defense this afternoon. Mills’ play has been a highlight so far in what has been a sluggish game.
