Former Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins has had some fairly hard luck so far during his NFL career with the Baltimore Ravens. He had a significant injury when he tore his ACL during a preseason game in 2021, and has had to work very hard to get back to form. So far, there have been flashes, but he’s still working to become the back with the power, vision, and burst we saw before the injury.
And while Dobbins is pretty good at football because of the passion he has for it, that’s not his only passion. “Front Office Sports” did a piece on Dobbins in a series called “My Other Passion,” and in it, the former Buckeye star showed us a side that we didn’t really know existed.
It seems Dobbins loves to get away from it all, and display the same patience it takes to run the football in the NFL when he goes fishing. I have to admit, I never took him as an avid fisherman, but hey, there’s nothing like being out on a boat, out in nature, spending some time decompressing.
You can watch the short piece on Dobbins and his love for fishing thanks to Front Office Sports’ YouTube Channel.
It’s always fun to come across pieces like these because it give you a little inside look to what players do off-the-field and what makes them tick. Here’s to hoping Dobbins has a breakout year for the Ravens this season.
