Basketball and soccer are two of the most popular sports on the planet. A lot of NBA players are soccer fans, and vice versa. We often see players posing for pictures at stadiums worldwide during the offseason. However, in the Golden State Warriors‘ latest YouTube video, Gary Payton II stands next to a Manchester City trophy as the team celebrates its treble.
Pep Guardiola’s side won the English Premier League, Champions League and the FA Cup, making them the first team since fierce rivals Manchester United to achieve the rare incredible feat. Payton looks ecstatic to stand beside the trophy and one of the team’s mascots.
Payton is currently rehabbing from a torn right calf and is expected to be out of the Warriors’ rotation for the foreseeable future.
