A former longtime New England Patriots rival, Le’Veon Bell, the former running back for the Pittsburgh Steelers, lowered the boom on legendary running back Adrian Peterson in a boxing matchup on Saturday night.
The fight took place as part of the Social Gloves 2 event, which featured a fight between YouTubers Austin McBroom and AnEson Gib.
There wasn’t much action throughout the bout, as the former NFL stars were in the feeling out process for what felt like an eternity. To be fair, it was their first actual high-profile boxing match. The match was listed as an exhibition bout, which means the result won’t actually count.
But Bell did leave fans with something to remember by dropping Peterson with a devastating knockout in the fifth and final round.

For years, Bell served as one of the Killer B’s for the Steelers, along with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and wideout Antonio Brown. The team stood in opposition of the New England Patriots at one point as one of the best teams in the AFC.
Bell is now dedicating himself towards starting a career in boxing. From the looks of his first fight, so far, so good.
