FIRST Minister’s Questions has been delayed due to "technical issues" in the Scottish Parliament.
Transport minister Jenny Gilruth had been addressing MSPs at the end of General Questions when a loud clattering noise interrupted her speech.
MSPs were distracted by the racket from outwith the chamber, causing Presiding Officer Alison Johnstone to intervene.
She asked for a “moment of forbearance” while the issue was addressed.
The members in the chamber could be heard asking: “What is that noise?”
After a minute or so the noise died down, but Gilruth ran into further problems when she attempted to resume with her contribution.
Johnstone imposed a “brief suspension while we investigate further”.
The "technical issue" with malfunctioning speakers was fixed and FMQs resumed after around 15 minutes.
