NEW DELHI: In a shocking incident during the Mumbai Indians-Rajasthan Royals IPL match, a passionate fan breached security and invaded the field in an attempt to meet his idol, Rohit Sharma. However, the unexpected appearance of the fan startled Rohit, causing a momentary alarm during the match.
The incident unfolded while Mumbai were fielding, defending a total of 125 against Rajasthan at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. Regrettably, this is not an isolated occurrence; similar incidents have occurred in the past involving players like Rohit and Virat Kohli.
