Denver Broncos rookie quarterback Bo Nix made his (preseason) NFL debut in a 34-30 victory over the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday.
Nix (6-2, 217 pounds) went 15-of-21 passing for 125 yards with one touchdown and no interceptions in his first game. Nix also rushed three times for 17 yards and he did not take any sacks. He finished the game with a 102.3 passer rating after leading four scoring drives on five possessions.
Nix is competing with Jarrett Stidham — who started on Sunday — for the QB1 role in Denver. Nix is now set to start in the Broncos’ next preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 18.
