Hayley McQueen has shared a heartwarming video of Elton John paying tribute to her late dad Gordon during a tour date in Aberdeen.
Manchester United and Scotland great McQueen passed away earlier this month after battling dementia. He left behind three kids including daughter Hayley, a well known Sky Sports presenter, and son Eddie - who worked as a tour chef for Sir Elton on his current tour, which comes to an end at Glastonbury. On the evening the Rocket Man headlines the UK's biggest music festival, Gordon's daughter Hayley shared a clip from his Aberdeen tour date where he pays emotional tribute to her late father.
In the clip, John says: “When we started off this tour, one of our chefs was Eddie McQueen, who’s the son of Gordon McQueen who passed away today. I want to give my condolences to Eddie, his family and to Gordon who was a great footballer.
“I always remember the goal he scored against England at Wembley when they tore the goalposts down. But in all sincerity thank you Eddie for what you did for us. And we send you and your family all of our love.”
