WATCH: Dublin parrot spotted out for pints in city centre

That’s right, we’ve seen it all now. A parrot was spotted out enjoying the sunny beer garden weather yesterday.

A video uploaded by Jamie King shows an exotic bird chatting up some ladies while out for a few pints. The bird was just outside The Stags Head on Dame Street and they certainly made themselves at home.

His presence definitely ruffled a few feathers as onlookers couldn’t help but stare at the colourful creature outside the popular south side pub.

Jamie told Dublin Live: "His name was Benjamin! We asked to pet him and his owner said 'you can try'. He was very friendly. He was there for about two hours while his owner had drinks. He was on her shoulder the whole time."

Meanwhile, the stunning sunshine is set to end with a blast as Met Eireann has issued a tumultuous forecast for the coming days.

A dramatic change is on the way as heavy showers and thunderous downpours will lash the country. Alan O'Reilly of Carlow Weather said: "Latest weather models continue to show a risk of heavy showers later on Sunday and Monday with potential for some thunderstorms but this far out it is hard to call.

"Next week will see temperatures drop back and also some showers."
