The Cleveland Browns got their offense cooking on their third drive after quarterback Deshaun Watson was able to connect with Amari Cooper for a massive 59-yard gain. The Arizona Cardinals had kept everything in front of them until that point as Watson and the Browns were unable to get any movement through the air. This led to a Dustin Hopkins field goal as the Browns got on the board first in this Week 9 matchup.
Cooper has been as consistent as advertised since coming to Cleveland from Dallas two summers ago. As Watson continues to look to get his footing under him after nearly six full weeks off (outside of a few drives against the Indianapolis Colts), turning to Cooper will never be a bad idea.
Through one quarter of play, Watson is sitting at 7-of-10 passing for 102 yards. Over half of that came on this play alone. Cooper has already racked up 62 yards on two catches thus far.
