We might have a weight room video arms race between AFC North running backs. Last week, Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry featured in a very “beast mode” workout video, which showed him in the gym doing some more unconventional exercises.
It went viral, but not near as viral as the video of Cleveland Browns RB Nick Chubb squatting 580 pounds, posted on Monday.
Given how Chubb underwent multiple substantial knee surgeries eight months ago, it’s an awe-inspiring feat.
The clip makes for a fun watch as it perfectly embodies the weight room maxim: “if the bar ain’t bending, then you’re just pretending.”
Having six plates (each 45 pounds) stacked on both sides naturally forces the 45-pound bar to bend significantly.
And now Henry has returned with another weightlifting workout video, although he’s doing more conventional exercises this time.

At the very beginning of the clip, there is a brief shot of the Dallas skyline, as Henry bought a home there in 2022. Football talking season can often drag on a bit, but the intense weight room viral videos are certainly one of the highlights of this time of year.
