Cooper Kupp may not be putting up big receiving numbers for the Rams this season, but he’s still having a major impact on the offense. In Sunday’s win over the Browns, Kupp helped propel the run game with his blocking on the edge, and he also scored a key touchdown in the fourth quarter to increase the Rams’ lead from one to eight points.
He was mic’d up during the game and in addition to catching six passes for 39 yards, he was on the sideline coaching up his teammates by pointing out things he saw.
“He was just pressed outside leverage and you slipped it. That was good right there,” he told Tutu Atwell.
Kupp also told Matthew Stafford something he noticed on one play where the corner was planning to blitz.
“Matthew! The corner thinks the corner is coming. I heard him talking, he was like, ‘Hey, he’s around the corner.”
The best part of the video was his interaction with Myles Garrett after attempting to block the Browns’ all-world pass rusher.
“That was the one play I was worried about the whole game,” he told Garrett.
