After a flat start that resulted in a 14-point deficit to the Detroit Lions, Christian McCaffrey helped set the tone for the San Francisco 49ers before getting them on the board with a much-needed touchdown.
During their first scoring drive of the NFC championship, McCaffrey delivered a nasty stiff arm while Lions safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson attempted to tackle him. Following his stiff arm, McCaffrey picked up 28 yards on a pass from Purdy for a first down.
McCaffrey finished the drive with a two-yard touchdown run.
