Before the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles squared off in Super Bowl 57 in Glendale, Arizona, country singer Chris Stapleton performed a wonderful rendition of the national anthem.
For context on Stapleton’s background, he is the winner of eight Grammy Awards and 10 Academy of Country Music Awards. He has more than 170 song credits as a writer and co-writer. In terms of recent work, Stapleton is perhaps best known for his version of David Allan Coe’s original “Tennessee Whiskey.”
In the pregame of Super Bowl 57, it was tough to figure out a good range for Stapleton’s anthem length. His national anthem ended up clocking in at 2:02.5, comfortably hitting the under of an over/under of 126.5 seconds.
