Washington Commanders defensive end Chase Young was back on the field for the first day of mandatory minicamp Tuesday.
After practice, Young spoke to the media, where he briefly discussed the Commanders turning down his fifth-year option, his motivation and the current condition of his knee.
While everyone wanted to hear what Young had to say, the real highlight was his return to the practice field. And, from all accounts, Young looked good in his return to practice Tuesday.
While the first day of minicamp is a long way from Week 1, Young’s knee is healthy. He looked explosive in Washington’s final three games of the 2022 season and he described how he feels now compared to Week 18 as “night and day.”
Here is an assortment of videos of Young at minicamp Tuesday from those in attendance.
