The debut of Calvin Ridley with the Jacksonville Jaguars is still way off on the horizon, but the former Atlanta Falcons wide receiver offered a teaser for fans Wednesday.
Ridley, who turns 28 later this month, posted a video to his Instagram that showed the receiver is staying in shape this year and still plenty capable of cooking defensive backs, despite a suspension that’ll keep him out until 2023.
Been working on @tcjayfund Radiothon #content all day, so hadn’t gotten a chance to check it out yet

Ridley is currently out indefinitely after a league investigation found he bet on NFL games in 2021 while on the Falcons’ non-football illness list. He’s eligible to petition for reinstatement on Feb. 15, 2023.
In October, the Jaguars acquired Ridley in a trade with the Falcons for conditional compensation that could be worth, at most, 2023 fifth-round and 2024 second-round draft selections.
While there was buzz about the deal when it happened in October, talk of Ridley has quieted down with Jaguars coaches unable to work with or talk to the receiver due to his suspension.
Ridley was a first-round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft and caught 28 touchdown passes with 3,342 receiving yards in 49 games with the Falcons. He finished the 2020 season with 1,374 receiving yards and nine touchdowns before playing only five games in 2021.
