A security guard has been arrested in Carlsbad, California, after allegedly firing a taser into a man’s face at point-blank range outside a bar. The incident, captured on camera, shows a confrontation unfolding outside the venue before the man collapses to the ground.

Videos circulating online appear to show a shirtless man standing near the entrance of the venue when the guard pulls out a stun gun and fires it from close range, sending him crashing to the ground in pain.
A later clip shows the guard being escorted away in handcuffs by police officers.
According to local outlet SanDiegoVille, the incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday evening, June 24, shortly before 8.30 pm, during a crowded watch party for the Mexico versus Czechia soccer match at Park 101.
In a statement quoted by the outlet, the Carlsbad Police Department said: "The investigation determined that during the incident, a security guard allegedly deployed a stun gun during the altercation. The adult male was evaluated by the Carlsbad Fire Department and transported to a local hospital for treatment."
