Watch as Storm Eunice sends TRAMPOLINE flying down the road in gale force winds

Motorists on a busy south Manchester road had another obstacle to contend with earlier today... a trampoline.

Instead of looking out for cyclists or pedestrians, bemused drivers watched on as the bouncy toy flew down Altrincham Road in Baguley, Wythenshawe.

With the strong winds propelling it down the road just like a wheel, it flew over some cars and appeared to land near a petrol station.

Joey Lister captured the bizarre scene at about 3.30pm earlier today.

It's not clear exactly where the trampoline came from, but the gale force winds as part of Storm Eunice are likely to have propelled it from a nearby garden.

Parents are likely to face some difficult questions from their children, who may be left wondering why their beloved trampoline has gone AWOL.

Storm Eunice has caused disruption across the region, with train lines and roads being blocked by fallen trees.

An amber weather warning for strong winds remains in place until 9pm.
