Watch as Auston Trusty celebrates on bench before Celtic debut in Champions League

Auston Trusty finally made his Celtic debut as he climbed off the bench in the final minutes of the Champions League win over Slovan Bratislava.

The centre-back replaced Cameron Carter-Vickers with 85 minutes played as Brendan Rodgers handed him a first taste of the Celtic Park atmosphere.

Trusty, 26, signed a five-year deal with Celtic in the summer as he left Sheffield United for a reported £5m fee to head to Scotland.

Despite having to wait for his first minutes in a Celtic shirt, Trusty appears to have been loving life in Glasgow since his transfer switch.

And that was clear to see last night as Trusty's celebrations on the bench were captured by TNT Sports as Daizen Maeda stroked home to make it 4-1.

The defender was also spotted in the background of a shot celebrating as Kyogo bundled home Celtic's second of the night.

After both goals, Trusty was on his feet and cheering like the loud supporters packed within Celtic Park.

The defender previously admitted it was "surreal" to have signed for Celtic having known of the club since he was a child.

“I feel ecstatic," he said. " It’s just such an historic and amazing club, and it’s a club I’ve known about since I was a little kid.

"Growing up in Philadelphia, football wasn’t such a popular sport but I knew Celtic.

“I know who Celtic were and the club, the organisation behind it so it’s a dream come true to join this club and such a massive organisation. Seeing the badge with my own eyes, it’s pretty surreal.”
