A big reason the Cleveland Browns were able to get into position to score a touchdown to cut the lead to 10-7 was due to a big play of wide receiver Amari Cooper. As San Francisco sat with a 10-0 lead, and as the Browns were backed against the wall, quarterback P.J. Walker found Cooper deep down the field after he cooked the man across from him off of the line of scrimmage.
All in all, the big pitch and catch went for 58 yards as the Browns drove deep into the 49ers’ territory. Cooper now sits with 69 yards on two catches as the Browns have found a bit of success despite starting a practice squad quarterback against the undefeated Niners.
As we sit at halftime, the Browns still find themselves in this football game as they look to win what they knew would be a gutty performance. They are not backing down at this point, and do not expect them to.
