INDIANAPOLIS — The stage is set for Alabama edge defender Will Anderson.
Anderson did not disappoint as he ran a 4.69 in his 40-yard dash at the NFL combine on Thursday night at Lucas Oil Stadium.
The sub-4.70 speed for Anderson is indicative of the edge rusher’s closing speed and how devastating he could be as a pass rusher or covering the flats.
On March 1, Anderson credited playing at Alabama for the reason why he became so versatile as a player.
“Being at Alabama made me very versatile,” said Anderson. “Dropping in coverage, all that type of stuff. Helping me work, pass rush moves and run.”
Texans general manager Nick Caserio met with Anderson at the combine.
