CCTV footage has captured the moment that a thief swiped a bag containing a Faberge egg and watch set valued at £2.2m from a London pub.
Enzo Conticello, 29, of no fixed address, took the £1,600 Givenchy bag belonging to Rosie Dawson as she was in the smoking area of the Dog and Duck pub in Soho on November 7, 2024.
Inside was an emerald-encrusted Faberge egg and watch belonging to her employers at the Craft Irish Whiskey Company, as well as Ms Dawson’s personal belongings.
Conticello saw the bag as “easy money” and said he handed over the bag to buy drugs, Southwark Crown Court heard.
On Thursday (9 April), Conticello – also known as Hakin Boudjenoune – was sentenced to two years and three months in prison after he pleaded guilty to three charges of fraud by false representation and one count of theft in February.
