It has been three years since the UK left the European Union.
The 2016 referendum saw 52% of voters in favour of Brexit, while 48% voted to remain. And on January 31, 2020, Britain officially left the EU.

While Sunderland and South Tyneside voted to leave, with a 61% majority in Sunderland and a 62% majority in South Tyneside. Elsewhere, County Durham voted leave with a 58% majority, Northumberland 54%, North Tyneside 53% and Gateshead 56%.
Despite the decision back in 2016, Brexit continues to cause debate with opinion still very much spilt among the UK population. But would the outcome be the same if the referendum was held today?
