When Warriors star Stephen Curry wraps up his NBA career, fans will be hard-pressed to find another player capable of putting the ball in the hoop in the fashion and at the rate he’s managed to do it. The 35-year-old guard has created a different level of “elite” when it comes to shooting, and he’s continued to evolve and improve his game in the process as well.
During a recently quick-fire Q&A with Curry, he was asked to name the three best shooters in the NBA, excluding himself. His list was certainly interesting—to put it lightly (via Complex Sports). He chose Klay Thompson, Seth Curry and Damian Lillard.
For what it’s worth, anyone who doesn’t live under a rock could have likely guessed Curry was going to list his friend and Warriors teammate in Thompson. It’s still probably deserved, and the inclusion of his brother Seth, well, it’s tough to argue against the fact that he can heat up quickly. This is a debatable choice, but kudos to Curry for showing his brother love.
It was arguably the most interesting that Curry listed Lillard in that group. That’s high praise from one star to another, and an obvious tip of the cap to the level of dominance Lillard has had to this point in his career.
Plus, it’s hard to argue against the player who made maybe the hardest game-winning three-pointer legitimately look ... easy.
