Alex King has emerged as a contender to become Wales' new attack coach after the Welsh Rugby Union blocked the appointment of Rob Howley.
Warren Gatland had offered his former lieutenant Howley the job but it got denied by the WRU's non-executive directors.
With Howley out of the equation Gatland will have to move fast to put a backroom team together with Wales opening their Six Nations campaign against Ireland in a month's time.
