Holidaymakers have been warned as wheelie suitcases will soon be banned in a popular European destination.
People travelling to Dubrovnik this summer must be careful to not get caught out by by a new rule banning suitcases on wheels in its historic centre. The Croatian city welcomes 1.5 millions tourists each year, which is almost 40 times the 41,000 people who live there full time.
Dubrovnik mayor Mato Franković is attempting to lessen the impact of tourism on the town and has passed a new law meaning suitcases must be carried and not dragged through the streets of the town. Tourists caught rolling their luggage faces a fine of £230 - as Mirror Online reports.
