Anyone with a relatively old iPhone model may have to update their handset in order to keep using Whatsapp.
Earlier this year, thousands of Apple customers received a warning if they had Whatsapp downloaded on their phones - as new updates mean the app won't be compatible with some phones.
The deadline for updating or changing your phone is fast approaching as it was confirmed that October 24 will mark the day it will cease working with iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C.

Anyone who has these old phones will have to purchase a newer device if they want to continue using the app due to iOS security updates.
Due to incoming changes, iOS 10 and iOS 11 will not be supported anymore by WhatsApp, which affects the iPhone 5 and iPhone 5C because they cannot upgrade to iOS 12.
However, there are other, newer handsets still running iOS 10 and iOS 11 at the moment like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S, which are capable of upgrading to iOS 12, and so customers are advised to do so.
The alert was sent to affected handsets back in May. The message said: "Update to the latest version of iOS to continue using WhatsApp.
"WhatsApp will stop supporting this version of iOS after 24 Oct 2022. Please go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update to get the latest iOS version."
Not only will the updated iOS ensure affected handsets can continue using WhatsApp, but these upgrades will also bring with them plenty of other essentials like crucial security fixes.
