A new scam email is circulating to trick money worriers into claiming a refund worth hundreds from British Gas.
Scammers posing as the energy giant are targeting the most vulnerable by convincing them they've overpaid on energy bills from 2020-2021 and are owed a £315 refund as a result.
The news comes just days after Liz Truss ' energy price guarantee was launched, which has capped yearly energy bills at £2,500 for the next two years.
