Many people love celebrate Bonfire Night by hosting a night-time party and setting off fireworks themselves. However, people can face big fines if they’re used illegally.
People also may not realise they could face potentially unlimited fines - including instant spot fines and £5,000 penalties if they are used at the wrong time or dangerously. People should know that the last time they can let off fireworks is midnight on Bonfire Night.
It is also the rule that you can only buy “adult” fireworks if you’re over 18. They can only be bought from registered sellers on selected dates.
