Lidl is recalling two products advertised as being gluten-free because they may actually contain gluten.
The Northern Ireland branch of Lidl is recalling its Just Free Gluten Free black and white puddings over the issue.
Gluten is a protein found in wheat and other grains that many people are allergic to .
The Food Standards Agency (FSA) said: "These products contain, or may contain gluten making them a possible health risk foranyone with an allergy or intolerance to gluten."
The FSA is advising customers with gluten allergies or intolerances not to eat the items, with have a use-by date of May 20.
Instead, return them to stores for a full refund.
Lidl has also put warnings up in stores in Northern Ireland to warn customers about the issue.
A Lidl statement on the issue said: "If you have purchased the above products, please return them to a Lidl store for a full refund, with or without a receipt.
"Lidl wishes to apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Black pudding is a type of sausage normally containing blood, animal fat, oatmeal and seasonings.
White pudding is similar, but does not contain blood.
Around 1% of Brits have coeliac disease, with symptoms that are triggered by consuming wheat and certain other grains.
The disease causes the immune system to target the body's own tissue when gluten is consumed.
This can harm the gut lining and cause a range of different symptoms including bloating, tiredness and stomach upset.
The only known treatment is to avoid gluten.
This year has already seen a slew of supermarkets and other retailers issuing recalls for popular products.
Earlier this month stores like Amazon, Aldi and Tesco recalled dozens of chicken products over fears they could be tainted with salmonella .
Pret A Manger has also withdrawn all items containing chicken from its shelves, while supermarkets including Aldi and Sainsbury's have pulled sandwiches, wraps and other chicken goods.
Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps.
