Amazon Fire Stick users have been able to tinker with their remote control's buttons for years, but it seems as though the customisation factor is about to come to an abrupt end.
Those who want to key bind each button on their remotes have been able to do so thanks to remapping applications, offering users a means of switching certain buttons to complete unique commands.
For example, as most of the new Fire TV remotes come with Netflix and Disney+ buttons - not all users will ever press them if they don't have an active subscription. So a re-mapper allows people to turn these buttons into something far more useful and launch other applications.
