For anyone who spends time in the backcountry, a satellite communicator is a must. One turned ankle or a sudden change in the weather when you don't have cell service can spell disaster, but not if you're always able to signal for help.
Right now, you can pick up the Spot X with Bluetooth 2-Way Satellite Messenger for just $199.95 at Amazon. That's a healthy 20% off the regular asking price for this satellite communicator that could save your life.
