Wankhede stadium to host India-Sri Lanka tie in January

MUMBAI: The Wankhede Stadium is set to host a match during India's upcoming white-ball series at home against Sri Lanka in January, TOI has learnt.

"The Mumbai Cricket Association has halted the outfield renovation for now due to this reason. It could be a T20I or an ODI. We will know later this week," a reliable source told TOI on Tuesday.

The Wankhede stadium last hosted an international game when it staged the second Test between India and New Zealand from December 3-6 last year which the Indian team won by a record 372-run margin.
