Wang Huning Elected Head of China’s Top National Political Advisory Body

Wang Huning was elected chairman of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Friday in Beijing.

Wang Huning, the Communist Party’s No. 4 official, was elected Friday to serve a five-year term as head of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the country’s top political advisory body.

Wang, 67, was elected at the first session of the CPPCC’s 14th National Committee, replacing Wang Yang.
