Wallabies raid NRL ranks in pursuit of World Cup glory

Phil Waugh is offering no apologies for Rugby Australia's relentless raid on rugby league talent as the tournament hosts leave no stone unturned in pursuit of an elusive third World Cup triumph.

A member of the last Wallabies side to make the final of the global showpiece 23 years ago, Waugh admits he feels shades of 2003 after RA this week signed exiled former Parramatta star Zac Lomax on a two-year deal.
