This is is how we rated the Wales players during their Euro 2024 qualifier against Turkey in Samsun.
DANNY WARD - 6
Tried to get Wales moving with quick distribution. Couple of comfortable stops in the first half.. Great penalty save to deny Calhanoglu, a tad unfortunate for the first goal after getting a hand to the ball. The second was unstoppable.
CONNOR ROBERTS - 5
Turkey had a lot of the ball down Roberts' flank and the full-back was pulled in too close to his centre-back. Was almost a third centre-half in truth.
CHRIS MEPHAM - 4
Got his feet in a mess for the (disallowed) own goal.. Was beaten easily by Yilmaz on 32 minutes but was spared blushes by a poor cross. Lost Nayir on the goal too.

JOE RODON - 5
It was another tough night at the back for Rodon in a backline that switched off on too many occasions.
NECO WILLIAMS - 4
Got caught out for the slide-rule pass which saw Mepham turn into his own goal and Turkey had a fair bit of joy down his side. Pinned back when Wales went down to 10.
ETHAN AMPADU - 6
Having Morrell alongside him instead of Ramsey helped massively. But after the sending off it was backs against the wall and Ampadu rolled up his sleeves.
JOE MORRELL - 4
Missed against Armenia, offered Wales a base they missed on Friday night but was sent off on 41 minutes for a high-boot challenge on Kadioglu. Daft challenge, the second in the space of a few days from Wales players.
HARRY WILSON - 6
Given a bit of rough treatment, the Fulham man was mostly safe in possession. Free-kick just before half-time was so close to creeping over the wall, nearly went better in the second with a brilliant effort 30 yards out. Subbed
AARON RAMSEY - 5
Played a more advanced role which made much more sense and the Nice man got on the ball a lot more than he did against Armenia. Was pushed back more after Morrell's dismissal. Harsh to concede the penalty. Subbed.
DANIEL JAMES - 6
Drew an early yellow card from Celik and his free-kick was close to sneaking in the far corner. Blew a bit hot and cold. Went up top at half-time and ran tirelessly. Subbed.
BRENNAN JOHNSON - 5
Played the lone striker role in the absence of Kieffer Moore and his first half was interrupted by a number of knocks. Looked to get on the counter but Wales were pushed so deep. Subbed at half-time.
