A sushi chef has won a four-figure settlement after lodging a harassment claim when his boss WhatsApped him his rota overnight on a weekend.
Waitrose kiosk worker Hemanta Mainali was woken in the early hours of a Saturday morning when privately-owned sushi bar manager Sumin Lohani sent him the message, claiming it was "very wrong" to bother him at that time and sending the curt reply, "go f*** yourself".
The exchange resulted in a fallout between the pair, which culminated in a violent confrontation in public at the supermarket's sushi counter in Godalming, Surrey.
